Road to Hana Adventure w/ Breakfast & Lunch

A must trip for all visitors. Beautiful, breathtaking scenery, outstanding guide-Saley. You get to experience it all from the ocean to the mountain top, what a fabulous trip!

Falsely advertised. This tour DOES NOT go all around the full circle and it skipped a few stops advertised on this itinerary as a result (the ones at the end of the trip). At the beginning of the tour, the driver stopped at Safeway to tell everyone that this tour does not go full circle. There were some very unhappy people on this bus. I think it is totally unfair to set expectations and sell this tour with false advertising. Some people like me, booked the tour under the assumption that this went full circle. Several people on the tour had the same assumption and we would have booked another tour that went full circle had we known. We had no choice by the time we found out and it sounded like the tour guide encounters these 'surprised clients' on every tour if he felt like he needed to announce this every time. He said it is not his fault and he is only the driver. It also sounded like from what he said, the main cause of this was the size of the van holding 22 + people. Other smaller companies transport less than 10 people in smaller vans and thus can go all the way around. This is not our problem. We paid for what we thought we were going to see and it is Polynesian Adventure Tours that has to take responsibility, make a little less money and divide that tour group into 2 or 3. They are charging higher than tour companies that only take 6 or 8 people . NOT RECOMMENDED. You will be sitting all day long, and that is expected of a day trip to Hana but the problem was we had a tour guide, Salesi who, despite his best intentions, dragged the day on for longer than required because he chose to tell personal and irrelevant soporific stories that no one was really interested in. Two other couples vented their frustration to me as well and I was glad I was not alone. There was another couple on the bus who seemed to be on the 'same page' as the tour guide and thus the husband of this couple and the guide kept exchanging personal stories about race, where they were born etc and held the entire bus at stops because they would not stop going on about their own stories and having their own conversations. It got to a point where one couple had to tell the driver to start the van and keep moving and I had to tell the guy to sit down and stop talking. It was a bit of a painful day with an itinerary cut short, endless gibberish stories and then to top the icing on the cake, we had to stop at a carpark at the end of the day to change buses to get back to our hotel. Another company who picked up passengers at our hotel at the same time got back 1.5 hrs earlier. Go figure.

What a memorable road trip to Hana rainforest. Amazing and memorable views through-out. The tour driver Sale made great effort to explain a lot about Hawaii customs, and unique flora and fauna. Very friendly and helpful. There was so much to do and see. My family's favorite stops were the black sand beach and fresh waterfall pool.

Our driver Peko was phenomenal. He was so engaging, he knew so much and we were in awe of the word "family" bestowed upon is. We don't want to do "road to hana" without his knowledge ever again. A true talent. Mahalo Peko

Seeing all the beautiful vegetation, beaches, falls with my wife and son. Black beach was the best. Salesian the guide was very informative and kind.

This tour was an amazing experience. I will be booking with them again the next time I'm in Maui. Before booking with Polynesian Adventures, I checked out a few other tours for the Road to Hana. The other tours were either ridiculously expensive or would not allow solo travelers. Theirs was just right. They coordinated transportation to and from my hotel which was smooth. Our driver and guide was Peko who was a 20 year vet and expert at driving the narrow, winding Road to Hana. Peko was hilarious and friendly and on the way to Hana he would tell us interesting facts about each destination and major sight. He gave us so much extra time at each stop to take photos, get food, and soak in the experience. Thank you Peko for the amazing customer service. Thank you for Polynesian Adventures for this awesome tour! This is perfect if you're a solo traveler.

Amazing trip with breath-taking sights. Our tour guide Peko was hilarious and frequently stopped to teach us about Hawaiian history along the way. Would highly recommend friends and family to book with Polynesian Adventure Tours!
